The National Zoological Park is a part of the Smithsonian Institution, the world’s largest museum and research complex. The National Zoo is a large complex, 163- acres, amid Rock Creek Park in the heart of Washington, DC and open to the public for FREE 364 days a year. The National Zoo is home to 2,000 individual animals of over 400 different species and two of their most famous inhabitants are the Giant Pandas, Mei Xiang and Tian Tian
